Beim 9. Lauf zur BF Goodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft, der vom Automobil Club Monheim 1971 e. V ausgerichtet wurde, startete der rent2Drive BMW mit einer neuen Fahrerpaarung. Zum ersten Mal auch sollte der BMW M3 E46 von Partner Darius Drzensla in der Klasse V6 bei herbstlichen Wetterkapriolen auf dem Nürburgring an den Start gehen.
Neben dem Stammfahrer Michael Heimrich griffen die Italiener Marco Biancardi (Mailand) und Mario Bertola (Turin) in das Lenkrad des rent2Drive BMW. Beim Training zeigte sich die Eifel von seiner typischen Seite. Nebel bei Start und Ziel, Hagel im Brünnchen und zur Abwechslung mal Regen und Sonnenschein. Unter diesen Umständen hieß es für die zwei Neulinge und den erfahrenen Fahrer Michael Heimrich den rent2Drive BMW im Training unbeschadet und mit einer guten Zeit durch die grüne Hölle zu pilotieren. Nach dem Trainingsende stand eine 12:30.289 min. auf dem Zeitenmonitor, dies bedeutete Startplatz 8 in der Klasse V5.
Für das Schwesterfahrzeug , den BMW M3 E46 war es bereits nach dem Training vorbei. Der von der Mannschaft rund um Darius Drzensla vorbereitet BMW konnte bereits in den ersten 2 Runden des Trainings sein Potential zeigen. Leider kam es dann zu einem Eigenunfall, wodurch das Auto so beschädigt wurde das an einen Start nicht zu denken war.
Den Start im rent2Drive BMW übernahm der erfahrenste Pilot Michael Heimrich. Dieser konnte durch konstante Rundenzeiten bei den nicht optimalen Wetterbedingungen einige Plätze gut machen, bevor er den BMW an den VLN-Neuling Marco Biancardi in Runde 9 übergab. Für Marco lautete die Devise Runden drehen um Rennerfahrung zu sammeln und sich aus allem raus zu halten. Sein Landsmann Mario Bertola übernahm dann in Runde 16 das Lenkrad. Mario konnte dann bei besseren Bedingungen die schnellste Rennrunde für den rent2Drive BMW mit einer Zeit von 10:54.715 in Runde 18 verbuchen bevor in der Schlussphase des Rennens wieder das typische Eifelwetter einsetzte und bessere Rundenzeiten zunichte machte.
Bis auf den Unfall des Schwesterautos war es für das rent2Drive Racing Team ein erfreuliches Wochenende, die Rookies im Team konnten Erfahrungen sammeln und einen 7. Platz in der Klasse V5 rausfahren.

For the sister’s vehicle, the BMW M3 E46 it was over already after the training. From the team all around Darius Drzensla BMW prepares his potential could already point in the first 2 laps of the training. Then, unfortunately, it came to an own accident by which the car was damaged so to a start not was to be thought.
The pilot Michael Heimrich took over the start in the rent2Drive BMW. This could make good by steady lap times with the not optimum weather conditions some places, before he handed over the BMW to the VLN novice Marco Biancardi in lap 9. For Marco there was the foreign exchange laps turn around racing experience to collect and to keep out from all. Then his compatriot Mario Bertola took over in lap 16 the steering wheel. Then Mario could register with better conditions the quickest racing lap for the rent2Drive BMW with a time from 10:54.715 in lap 18 before in the final phase of the race again the typical Eifelwetter used and better lap times ruined.
Up to the accident of the sister’s car it was for rent2Drive Racing a team a gratifying week-end, the Rookies in the team could collect experiences and the 7th field in the class V5.
