Zwei Stunden lang hatte das BMW Rahal Letterman Racing Team im zweiten Lauf der Asian Le Mans Series auf Siegkurs gelegen, ehe ein Problem beim zweiten Boxenstopp den BMW M3 GT2 im Klassement zurückwarf. Schließlich belegten Dirk Müller (DE) und Tommy Milner (US) in Okayama (JP) nach 110 Runden den fünften Platz. Der Sieg in der GT2-Klasse ging an Dominik Farnbacher (DE) und Allan Simonsen (DK) im Ferrari F 430. Am Samstag hatten Müller und Milner das erste Rennen der neuen Asian Le Mans Series für sich entscheiden können.

At the end of the day, Dirk Müller (DE) and Tommy Milner (US) finished fifth in Okayama (JP) after 110 laps. Dominik Farnbacher (DE) and Allan Simonsen (DK) secured victory in their Ferrari F 430. On Saturday Müller and Milner had won the maiden race of the new Asian Le Mans Series.
